Delhi Capitals beat Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets in their t20 encounter held in Chennai last night. Chasing 138 runs for victory on a sluggish track, Delhi Capitals fought hard to earn a six-wicket win against defending champions Mumbai Indians. Delhi Capitals achieved the target of 138 in 19.1 overs for the loss of 4 wickets with the help of 45 by Shikhar Dhawan and Steven Smith’s 33. This win also broke Delhi Capitals five-game losing streak against Mumbai Indians, with their last defeat coming in the final of IPL 2020. The win also took Delhi to the second spot in the points table.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bat. Batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 137 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For Delhi Capitals, Amit Mishra was the hero taking 4 wickets for 24 runs in his four overs, while Avesh Khan scalped two dismissals. Amit Mishra was declared Player of the Match.
