The Indian Golf Union on Friday announced that all IGU ornaments have been cancelled all its tournaments owing to the current situation due to the outbreak of corononavirus pandemic in the nation.
The union on its official Facebook page posted: “Further to our communications on IGU events, we regret to inform you that all IGU Tournaments including the Zonal and Feeder Tour events for the year 2020 stand cancelled. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the health, safety and well-being of our players, staff and employees which is of paramount importance to us.”
“We shall keep all players informed on the new Conditions of play, Golf Almanac and Eligibility criteria(s) pertaining to IGU events for 2021 in due course. We convey our best wishes to all. Stay healthy and safe,” the post added.
