England score 269/6 in first innings against India at stumps on day one of Bristol test

In the Women’s one-off Test Cricket, England scored 269 runs for six in their first innings against India at the end of the opening day’s play at County Ground, Bristol last night.

For the hosts, Brunt and Dunkley are batting on 7 and 12 respectively. 92 overs were bowled on Day One of the Test match. England captain Heather Knight scored 95 runs while Tammy Beaumont made 66 runs and Nat Sciver scored 42 runs.

India debutant Sneh Rana bagged three wickets while spinner Deepti Sharma picked up two wickets and medium pacer Pooja Vastrakar took one wicket.

Earlier, England won the toss and elected to bat first. This is the first time Indian women cricketers are playing England in a multi-format series. The two teams will also play three ODIs and three T20 Internationals.
