Delhi Capitals beat listless Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets in IPL match

Delhi Capitals beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets in their IPL match played at Narendra Modi Stadiumin in Ahmedabad last night. Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant said that right-handed batsman Prithvi Shaw is a very talented player and he can do wonders if the side shows confidence in his abilities. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan played knocks of 82 and 46 respectively as Delhi Capitals registered a win over KKR with 21 balls to spare. Prithvi Shaw was declared Player of the Match. With this win, Delhi moved to the second spot in the points table with 10 points.

Earlier, Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav scalped two wickets each as Delhi Capitals restricted Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to a score of 154 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. For KKR, Shubman Gill scored 43 in 38 balls and Andre Russell 45 in 27 balls. This was KKR’s fifth loss in seven games while DC registered their fifth victory this season to occupy the second place in the points table for the time being. Today, Punjab Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad at 7:30 PM.
