The Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC) Lieutenant General, J P Mathew on Sunday (24 December 2023) flagged off the JSW-NDA Car Rally from the National War Memorial in New Delhi. The celebration marks the seventy-five glorious years of the National Defence Academy (NDA).
Ministry of Defence said that this rally was initiated as a heartfelt tribute to Operation Badli, which traces its roots to 1954 under the stewardship of Major General Enayat Habibullah. It added that the rally is beginning its journey from Dehradun, and will navigate through significant armed forces stations such as Gwalior, Nashik and Mumbai. It will culminated its one thousand 800 kilometre odyssey at the National Defence Academy in Pune within six days.
