Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 45 runs in IPL match

Chennai Super Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 45 runs at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in their IPL match held on Monday evening.

Put into bat first, Chennai posted a big score of 188 for the loss of nine wickets in the 20 overs with the help of Faf du Plessis’s 33 runs off 17 balls, Ambati Rayudu’s 27 off 17 and Moeen Ali’s 26 off 20 balls.

For Rajasthan, Chetan Sakariya picked up three wickets while Chris Morris scalped two dismissals.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals only managed to score 143 runs for 9 wickets in the stipulated overs. Jos Buttler was the top scorer with 49 runs off 35 balls. For Chennai, Moeen Ali finished figures of 3 for 7 and was adjudged Man of the match. Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets apiece.

Today, Delhi Capitals will take on Mumbai Indians 7:30 pm at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
