Traffic restrictions, diversions and regulated movement will be enforced on several key roads in the national capital tomorrow in view of the 18th BRICS Summit.
According to the Delhi Traffic Police, the restrictions will remain in force from 8:15 pm to 11 pm, with traffic regulated along important stretches in and around central Delhi.
The affected road network includes areas around India Gate, Kartavya Path, Janpath, Mandi House, Tilak Marg, Bhagwan Das Road, Mathura Road and Pragati Maidan, along with other connecting stretches.
Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance, use the Metro wherever possible and allow additional travel time while traveling through or towards the affected areas.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, DMRC will commence operations from 6 AM on all lines this Sunday.
In a social media post, DMRC said that the move will facilitate the smooth and timely movement of students appearing for examinations and the general public.
It has advised students and passengers to plan their journey accordingly.
The advisory said emergency and essential-service vehicles will be given priority passage during the restrictions
