Portfolios Announced For New Union Council Of Ministers.

Portfolios have been announced for the new Union Council of Ministers. Union Minister Rajnath Singh has been retained as Defence Minister and Mr Amit Shah as Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation while Nirmala Sitharaman will continue to be the Finance Minister and Dr S Jaishankar as External Affairs Minister. The portfolios have been allocated to the newly formed Union Council of Ministers. Nitin Gadkari has also retained the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Piyush Goyal has retained the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Dharmendra Pradhan has been again given the responsibility of Education Minister. BJP President J P Prakash Nadda will be the new Health and Chemical and Fertilizers Minister while former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the new Agriculture and Rural Development Minister. Ashwini Vaishnaw will be the new Minister of Information and Broadcasting. He will also continue to hold the charge of the Rail Ministry.

Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has been given the charge of Ministries of Housing and Urban Affairs, and Power. Kiren Rijiju will be the new Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Annpurna Devi has been handed the portfolio of Women and Child Development. LJP leader Chirag Paswan will be the Minister of Food Processing Industries whereas Jyotiraditya Scindia is the new Communications and DoNER Minister. JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy has been given the responsibility of the Heavy Industries Ministry and Steel Ministry.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Jiten Ram Manjhi will hold the charge of MSME Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal will look after the Port, Shipping and Waterways Ministry and JD(U) Rajiv Ranjan Singh will handle the Panchayati Raj portfolio and Pralhad Joshi will be the new Consumer Affairs Minister. Giriraj Singh has been given the charge of Textiles Minister. Bhupendra Yadav has been given the charge of Environment Ministry and Hardeep Singh Puri will work as Petroleum Minister and Mansukh Mandaviya as Labour and Sports Minister. Arjun Ram Meghwal has been given the charge of the Law Ministry with an Independent charge. G Kishen Reddy will look after the Coal Ministry and Civil Aviation portfolio has been handed to TDP leader Rmmohan Naidu. Dr L Murugan will continue to be the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting.

Rao Inderjit Singh has been given the charge of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and the Ministry of Planning with the Independent Charge. Dr. Jitendra Singh will serve as Science and Technology Minister and Earth Sciences Minister with Independent Charge. Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao will be the AYUSH Minister with Independent Charge. He will also be the Minister of State for Health. RLD’s Jayant Chaudhary has been given the responsibility of Skill Development Ministry with independent charge. He will also be the Minister of State for Education.

Meanwhile, Jitin Prasada will be the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics and IT. Pankaj Chaudhary will be the Minister of State for Finance. Kritivardhan Singh will be the Minister of State for External Affairs. Sanjay Seth will be Mos Defence. Ravneet Singh has been given the charge of Railways. RPI leader Ramdas Athawale will be the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment. Nityanand Rai has been retained as the Minister of State for Home.

Apna Dal leader Anupriya Patel will be the MoS for Health and Chemicals and Fertilizers. Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel has been given the charge of Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying as well as Panchayati Raj. Dr L. Murugan will hold the charge of MoS Parliamentary Affairs as well as MoS Information and Broadcasting. Bandi Sanjay Kumar will hold the charge of MoS Home, while Suresh Gopi has been given the responsibility of MoS Petroleum and Tourism.
