PM Modi inaugurates second phase of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023 at Namo Ghat in Varanasi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the relationship between Kashi and Tamilnadu is emotional as well as creative and the Kashi Tamil Sangamam has become such a platform which has given the opportunity to different walks of life in both regions to interact with each other. He was inaugurating the second phase of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023 at Namo Ghat in Varanasi this evening.

Prime Minister said that Kashi Tamil Sangamam is continuously strengthening the idea of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat and with the same spirit government has organised Kahi Tamil Sangamam and Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam. Now foundation day of different states is being celebrated in many states. Establishing the Sacred Sangol in parliament is also a depiction of this Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat spirit. During G20 also the world was surprised to see the unity in the diversity of the country. First time Artificial intelligence was used during the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as through headphones the participants were getting live translations of the Prime Minister’s speech in the Tamil language. He said that it is a new beginning and in future, he will use it frequently.

Prime Minister also flagged off the Kanyakumari – Varanasi Tamil Sangamam train on the occasion. The Prime Minister visited the exhibition at Namo Ghat which reflects the cultural confluence of Kashi and Tamilnadu. Mr Modi also interacted with the participants from Tamilnadu who had reached here to take part in the Sangmam.

Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L Murugan, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and  BJP Tamilnadu Unit head K. Annamalai were also present on the occasion.

The first batch of Tamil delegation comprising a group of students from various parts of Tamil Nadu named after the sacred river ‘Ganga’ reached the holy city of Kashi (Varanasi) today to attend the 15-day-long second phase of Kashi Tamil Sangamam.

The Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency from Sunday.

On Monday, he will launch 37 development projects worth around 20 thousand crore rupees. He will also flag off another Vande Bharat express train from Varanasi.
