Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission KVIC Manoj Goel, today inaugurated Khadi Mahotsav in New Delhi on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
On the occasion, a special discount campaign was started by Mr Goel, which will be applicable across the country, including at Khadi Bhawan in Connaught Place, New Delhi.
The campaign will run till 16th November 2026. During this period, a discount of 20 per cent will be offered on Khadi products and up to 10 per cent on village industry products.
Speaking exclusively to Akashvani News, Mr Goel said, in the last 12-13 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khadi has created a new history. He said, Khadi business has crossed two lakh crore rupees.
Mr. Goel said, Khadi has become a fashion statement for the youth. He said, Khadi will play an important role in fulfilling the vision of a developed India.
The KVIC Chairman informed that an exhibition will begin at INA Delhi Haat in the national capital this evening showcasing products from Khadi, Village Industries units and Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries SFURTI Clusters from across the country.
Over one hundred stalls will showcase a glimpse of ‘Mini India’, along with live demonstrations of Charkha, Oil Ghani, Pottery, Honey and Incense Stick Making, are among the major attractions.
