In Jammu and Kashmir, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra has crossed a major milestone this year, with more than 50 lakh pilgrims visiting the Holy Cave Shrine by June 22, 2026.
According to official figures, 50.70 lakh devotees have undertaken the pilgrimage to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi so far this year.
The achievement is particularly significant when compared with the corresponding period in 2025, when around 39.84 lakh pilgrims had visited the shrine. The current year’s figure reflects an increase of 10.86 lakh devotees, marking a substantial rise in pilgrim footfall.
The growth in the number of pilgrims underscores the deep faith and devotion of devotees from across India and abroad towards the revered shrine.
It also reflects the continued popularity of one of the country’s most important spiritual pilgrimages.
