Iran Prez Death. India Announces One Day’s State Mourning.

India has announced one day’s state mourning tomorrow as a mark of respect for the death of Iran’s President Dr Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter crash. The national flag will be flown at half-mast throughout the country tomorrow in all buildings where the national flag is flown regularly. There will be no official entertainment on the day.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar have expressed condolences on the demise of Dr Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. In their messages, they noted the important role the two leaders have played in strengthening the India-Iran relations.
