Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Praveer Ranjan, today reviewed the security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 during a visit to Jammu.
The DG inspected key facilities and chaired high-level security review meeting with CAPFs, J&K Police, Army and other agencies.
Accompanied by senior CISF officers, the Director General undertook a comprehensive assessment of security measures, medical response mechanisms, fire safety preparedness, pilgrim facilities, logistics and inter-agency coordination aimed at ensuring the safety, security and convenience of pilgrims undertaking the annual pilgrimage.
During the visit, the DG inspected the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp, the Joint Police Control Room (JPCR), the CCTV Control Room, and the Tawi River Front.
He also interacted with deployed security personnel and pilgrims, reviewed the security arrangements on the ground and stressed the need to maintain operational readiness, continuous vigilance and seamless coordination among all stakeholder agencies.
Later, Ranjan chaired a high-level security review meeting attended by senior officers of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Jammu and Kashmir Police, Intelligence Bureau, Indian Army, and other stakeholder agencies.
Commending the dedication, professionalism and close coordination among the security forces, the CISF Director General expressed confidence in their continued commitment to ensuring the smooth, safe and incident-free conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
