Campaign For Remaining Two Phases Of LS Polls In Full Throttle As Top Leaders Hold Marathon Rallies.

As the countdown to the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi reaches its final stretch, the political landscape is ablaze with fervent campaigning by key contenders. Candidates and leaders from BJP, AAP and Congress are engaged in hectic campaigning in different parts of the National Capital to woo the voters in their favour.

Today, BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda spearheads a vigorous campaign and took part in a roadshow in Palam in favour of party candidates. Mr. Nadda will also address a public gathering in support of the party’s contender from Chandni Chowk and Pitampura this night.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Rajnath Singh galvanizes support with a rally in Rithala in support of the party candidate. He is also scheduled to hold a road show in Sarita Vihar.

In a bid to consolidate their base, Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal takes to the streets, orchestrating a road show in Bhajanpura, North-East Delhi.

The polling in the city is scheduled for Saturday and a total of 162 candidates are in the fray. There are more than one crore 52 lakh voters in Delhi, out of which 82 lakh are male and around 70 lakh are female voters. More than two lakh 52 thousand young voters will exercise their franchise for the first time.

In Bihar, several senior leaders of NDA and Grand Alliance today hit the campaigning trail in Lok Sabha elections for the sixth and seventh phases.

Senior BJP leader and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman conducted an outreach programme with representatives of industry, MSME and Chartered Accountants in Patna. She held a press conference in Patna, where she alleged that Jungle Raj of RJD and Congress is responsible for the backwardness of the state. Mrs. Sitharaman said the freight equalization policy brought by Congress proved retrogressive for Bihar and it also deprived of revenue.

She also said that PM Modi brought revival programmes and gave a new lease of life to Barauni Fertilizer Factory. BJP state president Samrat Choudhary held public meetings in Raxaul, Sugauli and Bettiah.

Addressing a public meeting in Ziradei in the Siwan parliamentary constituency RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav said this time the fight is to save the constitution and reservation. He alleged that there is a total disenchantment in people with BJP so the ruling party is inciting communal issues. Mr. Yadav also held election rallies in constituencies of Purvi Champaran, Paschim Champaran and Vaishali.

Vikash Sheel Insaan Party leader Mukesh Sahni and Congress state president Akhilesh Prasad Singh held public meetings in Siwan and Maharajganj parliamentary constituencies.
