The 2nd Meeting of the Coordination Committee of Textile Research Associations (TRAs) was held in New Delhi today.
In a social media post, the Ministry of Textiles said that the Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles, Neelam Shami Rao, presided over the meeting.
It added that the meeting brought together members of the Coordination Committee and representatives of TRAs to discuss key matters related to the textile research ecosystem and strengthen coordination among the associations.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Ministry of Textiles, senior representatives of Textile Research Associations and representatives from the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Department of Science & Technology, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), IITs, among others.
The meeting was conducted as a full-day intensive brainstorming session, with detailed deliberations on research priorities, technology development, innovation, industry linkages, commercialization of R&D outcomes and institutional strengthening of TRAs.
