A total number of 40, 715 new COVID cases were reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative positive cases to over 1.16 crore.
The Health Ministry said, 199 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours taking the toll to over 1.60 lakh across the country.
Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is over 3.45 lakh which comprises only 2.96 percent of the total positive cases.
The country’s COVID-19 recovery rate is at 95.67 percent with the total recovery of more than 29 thousand patients in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry said over 1.11 crore patients have already recovered from the disease.
The Ministry added that 4. 84 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered to the beneficiaries in the country so far.
The Union Health Ministry said that more than 32.53 lakh doses were given to the beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.
