India’s COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 93.94 percent

The recovery rate of the country’s coronavirus patients has further improved to 93.94 percent, the Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said adding that India was also witnessing a significant decline in active caseloads and fresh cases of coronavirus. He said, the recovery rate from the infection is also continuously improving.

Addressing the 28th Group of Ministers meeting yesterday the Union Minister said, the country’s daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 25th consecutive day. He said, the recovery rate has further improved to 93.94 per cent. He said there are over 14 lakh active cases in the country at present and 83 per cent active cases are in 10 States.

He added that the country is also witnessing a declining trend in the weekly and daily positivity rate. He said, testing capacities have been ramped up in the country for the early detection of coronavirus and over 36 crore tests have been conducted in the country so far.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan has said, over 23 crore doses of Covid Vaccine have been administered to the beneficiaries under the nationwide Covid vaccination drive.
