NCERT releases alternative academic calendar for primary classes

National Council of Educational Research and Training, NCERT on Thursday released the alternate academic calendar for primary classes on the official website ncert.nic.in with an eight-week schedule for the primary students.

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank who formally released the new academic calendar for primary class students from classes 1 to 5 noted that calendar will provide the necessary guidelines and tools to teacher for “use of technology & social media tools.” The new calendar is for 8 weeks and in addition to the alternative calendar released by the council earlier last month. Teachers, educators and students can download the alternate academic calendar for primary classes on the official website ncert.nic.in.

A four-week Alternative Academic Calendar, AAC had already been released by the Minister of Human Resource and Development, MHRD and had been uploaded on the NCERT website. It is already being implemented in the states and Union Territories. This is the second part of the Primary Stage Alternative Academic Calendar for the next eight weeks.
