NIA conducts searches at 13 locations in J&K in Jamaat-e-Islami terror funding case

National Investigation Agency (NIA) today conducted searches at 13 locations in Jammu and Kashmir in a terror funding case. The agency raided Budgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Srinagar, and Anantnag districts in the case for carrying out terrorist and subversive activities in the state by various proscribed organizations including  Jamaat-e-Islami. The raids were underway Pulwama.

Earlier on 11th of this month, the Central anti-terror agency carried out searches in Budgam and Baramulla districts the NIA on 4th of this month also, NIA conducted searches at 16 places in Jammu and Kashmir as part of its continuing crackdown on terror funding in UT in the case related to separatist and secessionist activities of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami.

Jamaat-e-Islami has been found carrying out terror funding activities in Jammu and Kashmir, even after being declared an unlawful association under the UA(P) Act on 28th February 2019. The terrorist activities have been carried out under various pseudo-names at the behest of their Pakistani commanders and handlers.
