In Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces today launched a massive joint cordon and search operation in the Ramnagar forest area of Udhampur district following inputs about the suspicious movement of two unidentified persons.

Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that a joint team comprising the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police,

Army and other security agencies cordoned off the Jophar area and launched an intensive search operation to track the suspected individuals and address any potential security threat.

Senior officers are present at the site to supervise the operation, which also includes vehicle checking.

Searches are being conducted at multiple locations in the area. The operation is being carried out on the basis of actionable intelligence as part of security measures to sanitise areas where suspicious activity has been reported.

The administration has urged residents in and around Jophar to cooperate with the security forces and report any unusual sightings or information that could assist the ongoing operation.
