India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, remaining parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next three to four days.
IMD has issued a red colour warning for very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the day.
The met department has also predicted heavy rainfall over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Vidarbha, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar islands during the next two days.
Meanwhile, the weather agency has predicted severe heat wave conditions over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh during the day.
