Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Odisha and West Bengal tomorrow. President Droupadi Murmu will also join the Prime Minister during his one-day visit to Odisha.
The President and Prime Minister will visit Pahadpur village in Mayurbhanj district and offer prayers at sacred groves Santhali Jahera and Ho Jahera, Skill Centre and Pahadpur School.
Later, they will participate in a programme at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district, marking the completion of two years of the Government of Odisha.
During the programme, they will inaugurate and lay foundation stone of various development projects worth over 47 thousand crore rupees. These projects span key sectors including energy, industrial infrastructure, road connectivity, drinking water, health, education, tourism and irrigation.
During his two-day visit to West Bengal, Mr Modi will participate in Paschimbanga Divas (West Bengal Day) celebrations at Tarakeswar in Hooghly district tomorrow. He is also scheduled to launch, dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects in West Bengal.
Mr Modi will release the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN). Under this installment, more than 18,880 crore rupees will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of over 9.44 crore farmers across the country.
Further, he will roll out several key Central Agricultural Schemes in West Bengal. These schemes include Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Agri Stack as part of the Digital Agriculture Mission, National Mission on Natural Farming and Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana.
On Sunday, the Prime Minister will participate in the 12th International Yoga Day celebration in Kolkata at around 6:30 AM. Later in the day, Mr Modi will commission three indigenously designed and built naval ships – INS Dunagiri, INS Sanshodhak and INS Agray at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata.
Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of a coal gasification project worth over 25 thousand rupees at Lakhanpur in Jharsuguda district of Odisha tomorrow. Ministry of Coal informed that the project marks a historic milestone as India’s first commercial-scale coal-to-ammonium nitrate facility.
The project is being developed by Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited (BCGCL), a joint venture of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Coal India Limited (CIL). It will produce 2 thousand tonnes per day of ammonium nitrate using indigenously developed coal gasification technology by BHEL.
The Ministry added that Coal gasification is emerging as a key pillar of India’s strategy to strengthen energy security, reduce dependence on imported critical feedstocks, promote value addition to domestic coal resources and support the development of downstream industries.
