The Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) is participating in the 5th WHO Expert Meeting on the Development of the International Herbal Pharmacopoeia, being held in China, from today.
The Ministry of AYUSH said that the event will bring together distinguished experts from WHO Member States to deliberate on global standards for herbal medicines. Director, PCIM&H, Dr. Raman Mohan Singh is representing the nation as an expert member at the meeting.
The Ministry also said that India’s active participation in the meeting reflects the country’s growing leadership in the field of traditional and herbal medicine and reinforces its commitment to advancing evidence-based global healthcare.
It added that the initiative also marks a significant step towards harmonizing the standards of traditional Indian medicine with international benchmarks for quality, safety and purity, while fostering alignment with leading global pharmacopoeias.
