US visa revocation warning issued for Indian, other international students over this reason.

As international students, including Indians, face the growing restriction surrounding this issue, the US Embassy in India sounded an alarm against individuals on student visas potentially dropping out of their study programs.

US Embassy India (@USAndIndia on X) originally issued the fresh visa warning for foreign students on Tuesday morning (IST) via social media. The US Consulates in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata eventually re-posted the tweet, calling for attention to the major announcement.

As per the latest update amid the ongoing immigration crackdown in the United States, Indian students (and others) have been warned against dropping out of their study program. Additionally, skipping classes or leaving the program without prior intimation may prompt punitive responses from the US government as well.

“If you drop out, skip classes, or leave your program of study without informing your school, your student visa may be revoked, and you may lose eligibility for future US visas,” the US Embassy posted on X. “Always adhere to the terms of your visa and maintain your student status to avoid any issues.”
