External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar has said that India supports a ceasefire in Gaza as soon as possible.
At the inaugural India-GCC Joint Ministerial Meeting for Strategic Dialogue held in Riyadh today, Dr. S. Jaishankar reiterated New Delhi’s support for a resolution through a two-state solution.
He said that India condemns acts of terrorism and hostage-taking. Any response must take into account the principles of humanitarian law, he added.
The India-GCC Strategic Dialogue, chaired by Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, included the foreign ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and India’s External Affairs Minister.
