Search Continues For 46 Missing People In Himachal Pradesh Cloudburst Incidents.

The search for 46 missing people in three cloudburst incidents in Himachal Pradesh is still ongoing. According to the latest disaster management data, 33 people are missing in Samej of Shimla district, and there has been no trace of them yet.

The NDRF team involved in the search operation has started using live detector devices and is also utilizing sniffer dogs to locate the missing individuals. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap stated that 301 personnel are involved in the ongoing search operation in the affected Samej area.

In Terang village of Padhar region in Mandi district, the search for the missing people continued for the third day today. During this time, a body was recovered from the accident site, but its identity has not been established yet. Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan said that so far, six bodies have been recovered, while four people are still missing. He mentioned that the families of the deceased in this incident have been provided with relief assistance of 4 lakh rupees each, along with ration, medical kits, and tarpaulins.

Additionally, nine people are missing in Kullu. Additional Chief Secretary Omkar Sharma stated in Shimla today that the state has suffered a loss of approximately 655 crore rupees during this monsoon season. The search operations in Samej of Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts are in full swing, covering nearly 85 kilometers to locate the missing people. Over 400 personnel, including the army, NDRF, SDRF, and local administration, are currently involved in the search operation.
