In Uttarakhand, the weather was clear in the hill districts of the state this morning, while it remained cloudy at some places from the afternoon.
Light to moderate rain was recorded in the capital, Dehradun, in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the MeT Department has forecast a yellow alert of rain in the state till July 15.
An orange alert of rain has been issued in Dehradun, Nainital and Bageshwar on July 13. Efforts are on to open the routes of the hilly areas, which are repeatedly blocked due to rain and landslides in the state.
The monsoon has intensified across Uttarakhand, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in multiple districts, including Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Nainital, and Bageshwar.
The alert is in effect through July 14, with the IMD warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and intense rain spells in the coming days.
