Over one crore 25 lakh devotees have taken a holy dip in Sangam till noon, on the occasion of Basant Panchami in Mahakumbh, Prayagraj today.
The third Amrit Sanan of Mahakumbh is underway and lakhs of devotees are still coming to take holy dip in the Sangam. The Amrit Snan is the most significant and sacred ritual of the Maha Kumbh Mela.
People also participated in the Ganga Aarti in large numbers this morning. The first two Amrit Snan took place on 14th January, Makar Sankranti and 29th January on Mauni Amavasya.
The Maha Kumbh Mela, recognized as the world’s largest religious gathering, commenced on 13th January and the first Amrit Snan took place on Makar Sankranti on 14th January. More than 36 crore devotees have taken the holy dip so far.
