Crowds of devotees can be seen at the goddess shrines throughout Nepal today offering worship and paying homage to the deity on the occasion of Navami of the Bada Dashain festival.
There is a belief that one’s wishes are fulfilled by worshipping and praying to the goddess Navadurga at the goddess shrines during the Dashain celebration.
A large number of devotees are visiting temples in the Pashupati area and Kathmandu Valley from early morning today.
Devotees also visited temples in other districts outside the Kathmandu Valley to pay homage to the goddess. They offer worship and sacrifice of lambs, he-goats and cocks as per their wishes on the occasion of Navami.
