1,500 Villages In 17 Districts Are Affected By Floods In UP.

In Uttar Pradesh, more than 1,500 villages in 17 districts are affected by floods. Additionally, urban areas in Bareilly, Pilibhit, and Shahjahanpur are also impacted. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed the situation today and directed officials to ensure assistance to flood victims within 24 hours.

The Chief Minister emphasized that those affected by crop loss or flood damage, including property loss, should receive financial aid promptly. He instructed officials to monitor the flood and heavy rain situation continuously and to keep a close watch on the levels of all rivers and embankments.

An Akashwani correspondent reports that numerous villages in districts like Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Kushinagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Gonda, Sitapur, Hardoi, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Badaun, Deoria, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Bareilly, and Barabanki have been affected by floods caused by rainfall and dam water release.

Relief Commissioner GS Naveen said water levels in Ramganga, Rapti, Ghaghra, Budhi Rapti, Rohin and Kuano rivers are above the danger level.

Lakhimpur Kheri, Balrampur, Kushinagar, Shahjahanpur, Barabanki, Sitapur, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Ballia, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Azamgarh, Hardoi, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Budaun, Farrukhabad, Basti, Deoria, Unnao, Pilibhit and Shravasti districts are affected by the flood, he said.
