The United Arab Emirates has initiated the largest phase of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, dispatching 20 trucks carrying over 200 tonnes of essential aid to Gaza.

The operation, launched under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, coincides with a humanitarian truce that enables intensified relief efforts in the region.

The latest convoy carried food supplies, winter clothing, and necessities. So far, approximately 29,784 tonnes of humanitarian assistance has been provided through 156 previous convoys. The UAE’s aid initiative includes the establishment of a field hospital in Gaza and a floating hospital in Arish, Egypt.

One component of the operation includes the ‘Birds of Goodness’ initiative, which airdrops supplies to areas in northern Gaza that are inaccessible by land.

The UAE has also invested in infrastructure projects, including the construction of desalination plants in Rafah, Egypt, with a daily production capacity of two million gallons.
