The Rajasthan state Cabinet meeting was held in Jaipur this afternoon under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma in view of the tension in the border areas.
The state cabinet has reviewed the preparations being made in the border areas of the state. After the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa told mediapersons that medical, fuel, food and other essential items are being stored in the border districts. In view of the situation on the international border, many precautionary measures are being taken in the border districts. Our correspondent reports that there will be a blackout from evening to morning in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Phalodi, Jodhpur and Sri Ganganagar till further orders.
Instructions have been issued to close the markets early in the border districts and strictly follow the blackout. Late night events and use of crackers have been banned. There will be a ban on flying drones in the border districts till further orders.
In Jaisalmer district, people have been ordered to deposit their drones in the police stations. Officers and employees are being deputed on vacant posts in the border districts. Medical, civil supply, public works, drinking water and disaster management departments are engaged in all necessary preparations for emergency situations. Meanwhile, rail traffic has been affected in the border areas. Some rail services have also been canceled.
