The Government on Friday said that more than 16 crore 49 lakh people have been administered COVID-19 vaccines till now. Over 13 Crore people have received the 1st dose and more than 3 crore people have received the 2nd dose.
The Health Ministry said, in the last 24 hours, more than 3 lakh 31 thousand people were discharged and till now over 1 crore 76 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19. The recovery rate now stands at 81.95 per cent. The country has reported 4 lakh 14 thousand new COVID-19 cases and total number of cases has reached over 2 crore 14 lakh. In the last 24 hours, 3 thousand 915 deaths have been reported. The death toll in the country due to the pandemic has reached 2 lakh 34 thousand 83. The Health Ministry said, currently there are over 36 lakh 45 thousand active cases.
The Indian Council of Medical Research ICMR said, more than 18 lakh 26 thousand samples were tested yesterday. Till now, more than 29 crore 86 lakh samples have been tested for COVID-19.
