In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army personnel was injured when terrorists opened fire on a security post in a village in the frontier district of Rajouri in the early hours today.
Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the terrorists fired on a sentry post of the Territorial Army at village Galuthi, prompting retaliation by the troops.
A soldier was injured in the exchange of fire that continued for nearly half an hour between the two sides; however, the terrorists managed to flee into the nearby forest. A massive search operation was launched by the security forces to track down the terrorists.
This happened a day after two soldiers died due to gunshot wounds in two encounters with terrorists in Kulgam district of south Kashmir. The six terrorists were killed in an encounter in Frisal Chinnigam area.
