Israel releases 200 Palestinian prisoners after Hamas freed four hostages under ceasefire agreement.

Hamas has released four female Israeli soldiers held in Gaza as part of the ceasefire agreement, handing them over to Red Cross officials in Palestine Square in Gaza City. Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa, Naama Levy and Liri Albag, who appeared to be in good condition and each carried a bag, were seen smiling as they waved to the crowd in Gaza City’s Palestine Square.


This is the second exchange under the ceasefire deal between Israel and Gaza. This deal is set to build the foundation for a permanent end to the war in Gaza.

On the other hand, Israel has released 200 Palestinian prisoners in return, Seventy Palestinian prisoners arrived aboard buses in Egypt on Saturday after being released from Israel as part of a Gaza ceasefire deal, state-linked Egyptian media reported.
Al-Qahera News, which is linked to state intelligence, said the prisoners were those “deported” by Israel, and said they would be transferred to Egyptian hospitals for treatment.

Under the terms of the ceasefire deal, Hamas is to free 33 hostages over the course of six weeks in return for hundreds of Palestinian detainees.
