India becomes second country after US to administer over 20 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine

With 20.54 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses administered so far in the country, India became the second country after United States to administer over 20 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

On Day-132 of the vaccination drive on Thursday, more than 26.58 lakh Vaccine Doses have administered till 7 PM.

Over 11.76 lakh beneficiaries of the age group 18 to 44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine on Thursday while cumulatively 1.51 crore beneficiaries of this age group across 37 States and UTs since the start of Phase three of the vaccination drive.

Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh have administered more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years for their first dose of COVID vaccine.
