The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall and squally weather over Saurashtra and Kachchh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka coasts tomorrow. As the Cyclonic storm ASNA moved westwards over northeast and northwest Arabian sea will maintain its intensity till tomorrow morning.
The weather department said that ASNA will move west-southwestwards for the next 24 hours and weaken gradually into a depression over northwest Arabian sea by day after tomorrow.
IMD also forecast moderate to heavy rainfall at isolated places over Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana tomorrow. It said that the depression over westcentral and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coasts moved northwestwards and lay centered today over the same region.
The IMD added that the depression is likely to move northwestwards and cross north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha coasts between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur close to Kalingapatnam around late evening or night of today.
