On Wednesday, the conflict between Israel and the militant group Hamas entered its fifth day, marked by relentless Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip that left neighborhoods in ruins and forced people to seek safety urgently. Humanitarian organizations pleaded for the creation of safe corridors to deliver aid, as hospitals in Gaza struggled with an overwhelming number of wounded individuals and depleting supplies.
