In Chhattisgarh, at least three Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces today.

Once the intermittent exchange of gunfire ceased, the bodies of three Naxalites, dressed in uniforms and armed with various firearms—including automatic weapons—along with explosives, were recovered from the site. The official noted that a search operation in the area was still ongoing.
