Today was the last date for withdrawal of candidatures for single-phased assembly elections in Mizoram, and for the first phase of assembly polls in Chhattisgarh.
In Chhattisgarh, after the last day for the withdrawal of nominations for the first phase of Assembly elections, two hundred and 223 candidates are in the fray. In Mizoram, after the last day of withdrawal, a total of 174 candidates are in the fray for the forthcoming Assembly polls with no candidate withdrawing their candidature. More from our Correspondent:
