West Bengal panchayat polls: Repolling at 697 booths underway where voting was declared void

Re-polling will be conducted in 697 polling booths for the three tier panchayat elections today in different districts of the state. West Bengal State Election Commission (WBSEC) yesterday informed that 175 booths will be from Murshidabad district and followed by 110 in Malda. Nadia district comes in the third position with 89 booths going for re-polling.

While announcing the list of polling booths that will be going for re-polling, a day after violence-marred panchayat polls, the State Election Commission had also said that a half- section or four personnel of central armed forces will be deployed in each of these booths that will be going for re-polling. The repolling will start from 7AM and end at 5PM.
