VKSA Bus flagged off in Kargil to educate 25,000 farmers in 2 week Pro-Kharif campaign.

In Ladakh, the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ (VKSA) Bus was flagged off at Kargil, marking the beginning of a two-week-long awareness campaign under the Pro-Kharif initiative. The campaign will run from May 29 to June 12, 2025, and is being organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra 1st (KVK1), Kargil.

The VKSA Bus will traverse all blocks of Kargil, aiming to engage and educate 150 farmers daily, thereby covering a total of 2,5000 farmers across the district by the end of the campaign under its jurisdiction.

The broader vision of the VKSA campaign aligns with the national goal of making India a ‘Viksit Rashtra’ (Developed Nation) by strengthening its agricultural base.

To ensure maximum grassroots impact, the campaign will mobilise scientists, technical experts, and extension officers to conduct awareness drives and capacity-building programmes at the village level, bringing knowledge directly to the doorstep of every farmer.
