Telangana. Indian Army called in to rescue 8 stranded workers from collapsed tunnel in Nagarkurnool.

In Telangana, the Indian Army has joined the rescue activities to safely evacuate the eight stranded workers from the tunnel of the Srisalam Left Bank Canal at Domalapenta in Nagarkurnool. Rescue activities are vigorously going on. 

A part of the roof collapsed yesterday injuring over a dozen people and stranding eight persons, including the project and site engineers deep inside the tunnel. 

The Engineer Task Force (ETF) of the Army from Secunderabad has been deployed and the team has reached the site to enhance the rescue efforts.

National and State Disaster Management teams are already at the site since yesterday.
