In Telangana, heavy rains accompanied by strong winds and thunder lashed several parts of Hyderabad and surrounding districts last night.
Bhongir in Yadadri Bhongir district recorded the highest 103 mm of rainfall, while Golkonda in Hyderabad recorded over 90 mm of rainfall in a span of two hours.
The downpour led to waterlogging in many areas of the city. Abids, Bansilalpet, Uppal, Begum Bazaar, Nacharam, Bachupally, and Miyapur are among the areas that recorded heavy rainfall.
IMD has issued a yellow alert until Monday warning of isolated heavy rains in several districts of the state.
