Southern Army Commander Lieutenant Dhiraj Seth has met Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai and held discussions on issues of mutual interest.
In a press statement issued by the MoD on Monday read, “Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, interacted with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, as part of the apex level military-civil fusion interaction in Mumbai.
The meeting witnessed discussion on a number of relevant and wide-ranging issues of mutual interest, such as civil-defence cooperation, internal security, veteran welfare, and disaster response. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing coordination and preparedness for the overall safety, welfare, and resilience of the state.”
The release further read, “The interaction is a testament to Indian Army’s steadfast commitment towards fostering robust military-civil synergy across all domains of engagement, ensuring seamless cooperation in the service of the people of Maharashtra.”
