All schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutes will reopen in Delhi from Monday. In the first phase, classes from 9th to 12th in schools will be resumed in a ‘hybrid mode both online and offline and in the second phase classes for nursery to Grade 8 will resume from 14th of February. On the other hand, colleges and higher educational institutes are permitted to resume physical classes completely.
The decision to this effect was taken at the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, DDMA meeting held on Friday. Delhi government also decided to reopen gyms, spas, and swimming pools from tomorrow. All offices, both private and government, can now operate at full capacity. B2B (Business to Business) exhibitions are also permitted. Restaurants in the national capital have allowed to operate upto 50 per cent of seating capacity from 8AM to 11 PM and Bars with 50 per cent seating capacity from 12 Noon to 11PM.
As per the DDMA order, the duration of night curfew has been reduced by an hour and it will now be effective from 11 PM to 5 AM. Earlier, night curfew was effective from 10 PM. DDMA also said that people driving cars alone need not wear masks.
