Relief and Rescue operations underway in flood-affected Telangana.

In Telangana, rescue and relief operations are underway in the flood-affected districts of Kamareddy, Nizamabad, and Medak, where several colonies and villages remain submerged.

Restoration work is progressing on National Highway 44, which suffered multiple breaches between Sadashivnagar and Bhiknoor, disrupting traffic.

While there has been some respite from rainfall, the Meteorological Department has forecast more rain in these districts today. Schools and educational institutions in Kamareddy and Medak districts remained closed for the second consecutive day yesterday.

According to an official release, nearly 800 road stretches covering over 1,000 kilometres have been damaged across the state.

Roads have been completely washed away at 31 locations, with temporary repairs completed at 10 spots. Traffic has been diverted at 29 locations, and culverts have been damaged at more than 350 sites.
