Rajasthan High Court takes suo-moto cognizance of Gas Tanker Fire Incident.

Rajasthan High Court has taken suo-moto cognizance of the issue regarding the breaking of fire in a running gas tanker near Jaipur yesterday morning claiming 14 lives so far. Single bench Judge Justice Anoop Kumar Dhandh instructed the state government to enquire and investigate the matter and proceed to punish the officers found guilty of such a major accident.

The judge also said to make immediate arrangements for providing proper compensation to the families of the deceased and people injured in this accident. The court also found that undue delay in construction works relating to roads and bridges also hampers the ease of traffic.

It instructed the government to complete such works in a time-bound manner and appropriate action should be taken against the officers found responsible for such delay. The Court issued notices to the Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan and other senior officials to respond on the matter to be heard further on January 10th 2025.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister of the state Ms. Diya Kumari said that saving the lives of the injured in the Jaipur gas tanker accident is the first priority of the government. She reached Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur today to know about the condition of the injured people
