The Rajasthan government will celebrate December 10 as Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas every year. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma made this announcement at the Pravasi Rajasthani Conclave on the second day of the ongoing Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit in Jaipur. Mr. Sharma said that keeping in mind the interests of the migrant Rajasthanis, a special department will be created for them. He said that the government has also decided to confer Pravasi Rajasthani Samman every year. He said that a single point of contact will be created in every district to help the families of Pravasi Rajasthanis in case of any problem. The Chief Minister said that the state government has created such an environment for investors, where they will get every possible facility.
The program was also addressed by the state Governor Haribhau Bagde, Governor of Sikkim Om Mathur, Union Minister of Forest and Environment Bhupendra Yadav. Akashvani correspondent reports that Ministers in the Union and state government, Subject experts, Officials and representatives of industries put forth their views in the different sessions.
Apart from the Pravasi Conclave, seven sector specific sessions and five Country sessions were organised in the summit today. Addressing the session on agribusiness, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that prosperity cannot come without agriculture.
He gave detailed information on the six-point strategy of the Central Government for agriculture and farmer welfare. A session on sustainable infrastructure development was also organised. Addressing the session, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the huge network of roads built in the country will become the axis of industrial development. Sessions focusing on the US, Malaysia, Germany, Singapore and Korea were also organised.
