In Bihar, on the 11th day of the Voter Adhikar Yatra, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a road show today in Muzaffarpur.
He was joined by senior DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, DMK leader Kanimozhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav during the visit to Muzaffarpur.
Mr. Gandhi addressed a gathering at Gaighat in Muzaffarpur. While interacting with people, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the names of deprived and marginalised people are being removed from voter lists to prevent them from participating in elections.
The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Mr. Gandhi, alleged that the special intensive revision campaign aims to deprive poor people of their voting rights.
Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Mr. Stalin, alleged that the deletion of 65 lakh names frthe om electoral roll in Bihar is a serious threat to democracy.
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, VIP party chief Mukesh Sahni, CPI-ML general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya and several senior leaders of opposition alliance were also present.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi also held a roadshow in Darbhanga city today and interacted with people and party workers. Mr. Gandhi will reach Sitamarhi this evening and take a halt there.
